I looked at his portfolio and i am VERY impressed with his work and will probably be calling him in a few days. His color and japanese/asian art is just beautiful. anyone or know of anyone that has gotten ink from him?
Fip works with Clifton, the guy that did my 1/2 sleeve on my right arm over at Ed Hardy's Tattoo City.

I believe he is there for good now. I know he was working almost every day of the week last time I was in there.

Super awesome japanese stuff, both Clifton and Fip are phenomenal artists. Not to mention super cool guys.

Hey Max, Have you checked out Spider Murphys in San Rafael? I had mine done there, and was pretty happy with it, and my boss (at the time) paid for it! He himself got a full sleeve and his back done, and I thought the guy did a clean job, took several months for his. His was done by Theo Mindell. Not sure if it's your flavor, but I thought I'd through it out!

The other thing is depending on what exactly you are doing, the complexity you may not need to pay double for the crazy awesome dude, but if you have a crazy intricate/complex design, then yeah, I'd wait!

Any one of the guys at Analog Tattoo in San Jose. They're all world-class tattoo artists.

Yeah. I learned some lessons on getting cheaper tattoos. Never again. Those tattoo' cost me good money, and it payed off in the end.

Getting the owl done in London was expensive, but it was totally worth it. I paid for what I got, and that was great work.

I can always recommend good shops to people, if needed.
