So there was an update rolled out to my phone. .181 it was a go, then we heard it was getting scrapped because 4.0 was supposed to roll out.. then it was back on..
I got the update notice last night and put it off till i got to work this morning so i could read up on it.
People were claiming faster data speeds after the update. I figured "yeah right, im already getting great speeds"
So i did a speed test before and after the update.
.173 is before and .181 is after.
Faster speeds

Verizon is really killin' the lead with a lot more choices of smart phones that are on 4G LTE and the coverage. Still waitin' for gayT&T to catch up... and yes I'm going to wait for the 2012 iPhone with 4G LTE. I want a phone that works, without having to **** around with it like I had to do with my blackberry connecting it to the PC all the time.
In the that's what people want. Simplicity and enjoyable usage. Droids have been waitin' on updates since the dawn of time and also been waitin' on regulation on their apps. Openware... malware, all bad.

Android malware is not really an issue, just like with other computers don't be dumb and you'll be ok. Don't go installing some **** app from East Bloc website. As far as not getting upgrades, yeah it can be a mess but you can always get the Nexus phones.
I'm also interested to see what the next iphone will be. If it is packing at least a 4" screen, LTE, and iCloud gets better it might be my next phone.

Also add in that there are rumors it will be a bigger screen with the LiquidMetal as the shell, they purchased for 20mil a bit ago, too sexy to pass-up! Plus I like a smooth metal feel vs the glass feel.
As for WWDC, Apple has anounced it to begin June 11, just hope and pray they display the new phone.
And if anyone didn't figure it out yet, Apple is trying to move to a new trend that sounds like the naming of a car. So instead of iphone 1, 2, 3, 3gs, 4, etc. They're moving toward the car model which is like a "2012 Mercedez" hence "The new iphone" or for future matters the "2012 iPhone."
People are getting confused with their phone, and the capabilities of things like 4G or 3G, 4G LTE, so the easier way to fix that problem is just going with the standard year, this way its' easier for their customer service reps to trouble shoot much faster when you say you have the "2013 iphone/ipad" etc.
