Honestly... with the way he's changing the offense... 2 TE's all the time with 2 splits I think he's wasting welker. They can Branch to do what they're doing with Welker.
I personally think the way they're handling welker is stupid. The patriots are on the decline. If he can get out and get somewhere like say... Baltimore. Probably be used better.
The patriots now have 3 KILLER tight ends on the roster so I see them running 2 TE pretty much all the time and possibly having all 3 on the field from time to time.
Welker is still the best receiver they have.

The new OC / Quarterbacks Coach is a familiar face to the organization though as it is Josh McDaniels (the same guy that was with the Broncos / Rams). He was the OC when Brady had his 50 TD season back in 2007 (i.e. the Patriots 18-1 Season). The problems are probably coming from there being several new people on the Offense since the last time McDaniels was there, but he was actually with the team at the end of last season as a Assistant Coach.
I am still expecting the Patriots to get it together soon as they have far too many weapons not to be able to produce, but it is probably the blending of all of the different elements that is taking time as they are still trying to work out the kinks.

And I honestly don't see them doing all that much this year. Their defense is o.k. There offense is o.k. But nothing is great outside of the TE position. The RB spot is pretty weak. At WR they're solid but not great. I personally think they should put Branch at the number 2 spot and move Welker back to the slot. Run more 3 wide.

They just need to use their guys correctly. Lloyd is good but he's not THAT good.

Also, Bennet played for me this week so i won't need a TE until next week and I see a couple on waivers I like. I'm not going say anything about the players in the trade but what I think about the players since I'm involved in the trade and did it for a reason.
Also, my policy on trades is I let them go through unless there is collusion involved.
I can also trade some of my WR's for RBs and I'll be dropping a WR for a TE.

If you're not trying to bail out, dump players and the trade has a purpose then I'm fine with it. I'm just over sensitive because I've seen it before. Guys that get a bad start and just say screw it and dump of players to their friends. Pisses me off. You end up having to play people that are unstoppable.
So if the trade is legit and you want it... then do it.
As a commish I usually let people do what they're gonna do unless someone is doing what we're talking about and that was my fear.
It's early.. can't tell who's gonna do what. I always trip out on people that trade so early in the season anyways. LOL. I'm more of a draft strategy and waiver guru kind of dude. Haaaa.
But I can't really say **** as I'm currently in first so of course I don't want people improving. LOL>

I think I'm upgrading and my RBs are fine right now and will be good when forte gets back since Sporles is good in .5 PPR and Law Firm is consistent. I also have Hillis and LeShoure who might become the led back for their teams if someone gets hurt or if they start out well.

Man I lost two important players to injuries today. No good for me. Like I said though... Spiller was gonna get me a hot start and my team would suck at the end.
