so are soccer players taught to flop and over exaggerate when they get "tripped" or are they just all pansies to begin with...i dont see how gettin tripped up can "hurt" more than taking a header from across the field

 

I don't think they are taught. It comes with the territory. They're the most divers I've seen in any sports. One little touch and it's a dive. They try to get the opposing player a foul or a card.
