The OEM subaru h4 filters are now made by honeywell. I don't think you'd want fram-like filters for your car.

Tokyo Roki no longer supplies the oil filter for the h4 subarus.

LIC Motorsports will no longer be offering OEM filters as they are now fram filters...

WIX all day long

*the old filters were really good. the new ones, not so good. and i refuse to use one on a car.

I even went as far as to send all the info to SOA. and that I will no longer by 2,000 filters a year from them

Would the h6 filters fit onto the h4s? I heard the h6s still have the black filters.

Not worry about it?

I can't remember the last time I saw an oil filter-related engine failure.

but the question is this.... for an extra 2 bucks and oil change is it not better to go with higher quality?

How many motors have you seen damaged due to debris in the oil or poor oil flow? Better safe than sorry I would think.

If your motor is the heart and oil its blood then the cleaner you can have the blood the better. The less blocking its path the better.

I have used fram a couple times but I generally try to go with stock or mobil one. Now I'll be staying away from stock.
