Octane booster (1 Gallon) for real Cheap
I am not exacty sure what type it is....but its in a 1 gallon can, and its a fuel additive to boost octane up to 8-10 points (I believe) A friend of mine, had to buy it so his truck would pass smog, but he only used about 2 oz. of the stuff, and wants to get rid of it, doesnt need it anymore....so he asked if I knew anyone that might want it....so I said, " well, actually....I just may know some ppl that might be interested...." so here I am...asking if anyone would like it....I can find out more details about it when I get home from work tonight for those that are interested. he'll probably ask about 10 bucks for it.....not positive on that tho.

Octane booster is actually just a flame retardant that reduces the flame point of the gas (its tendency to explode spontaneously under high pressure and heat). It actually reduces power output. Interesting huh? The only application where it could be useful is where the car has been tuned to run on a higher octane and without the flame retardant it will knock a lot. In this case it would simply reduce knock. I always thought octane booster was some magical additive that made the fuel cleaner and more potent until I read up about it. Anyway I'm bored and felt like dropping a poop-nugget of information. Later.

Just go buy a couple gallons of toluene alot cheaper than the "boost" stuff.
http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/misc/octanebooster.html
and thisis right from BPs website
"2. How can I boost my octane?
The octane of a fuel can be boosted by adding proportions of a higher octane fuel. Also available is toluene, which can be used as an octane booster in both unleaded and leaded fuels. Generally each 5% addition of toluene will increase the fuel's octane rating by one number. It is not recommended to add more than 30% of toluene to the fuel. Because of the dangers with incorrect mixing, individual motorist are advised against mixing additives with fuels without first consulting their car engine manual or their fuel supplier."
