Obscure question for serious photoshop users that went from CS4 to CS5
I just came across an issue while trying to edit a .psd file in CS5 that I created in CS4. It was a photograph and I was trying to edit a layer mask, but it wouldn't let me select the mask. I rebooted the iMac from the disk that has CS4 on it (I'm trying out Lion on an external drive and installed the trial version of CS5.5 since I have a legit copy coming in the mail with a serial number) and opened the same file and it works fine. Is there some setting with a different default in CS5 preventing me from editing masks?
I didn't try yet opening other .psd files because I need to get this project done for a client. But has anyone else experienced this?

Yeah, I'm not sure if it is a CS5 thing or if CS4 does the same thing. I rarely use quick masks so it might be that I've just never run into the situation before, rather than it being a version issue.
