Norcal Rallycross still lives and is growing

Kyle, actually a person that you should get in touch with lives in Ben Lomond, I believe that is your neck of the woods. Did you do any autocrosses at Marina? With NASA? The only reason for "experience" is so someone doesn't get in over their heads and "ooops" their car. There was a guy a few years ago who ran a GTA car at Hoopa. I spoke with him on Saturday after his first run about a problem he was having. On his next run he pitches his car backwards into the second turn and breaks a powerpole in two, which actually saved his car from going down a small ravine. His first time at Hoopa, so they are leary of first timers.

Yeah west of willows is Thunderhill. Actually the drive to Hoopa can be fun, especially 299 out of Redding. Banked hillclimb highway road, lots o fun, but still long drive.
Definitely get in touch with them.
Salvator, they are fun, but definitely more fun with more experience. I autocrossed heavily for over 2 years before my first Hoopa event. Haven't missed one since.

I need to bolt on the skid plate tomorrow then I'm good to go. Driving up tomorrow night since there's no way in hell I'm waking up early Sunday to make the drive. Won't need a hotel for the Antioch or Vallejo events though.

For the afternoon groups there will be registration and tech until that time as will there be a drivers meeting, so that you don't have to be there all day to run in the AWD classes.

Is registration for May 6th still open? This would be a perfect opportunity to break out my car. It looks like **** haha, rattle can just to keep it one color til I get a paintjob. I havn't really openned it up yet since I built it. It's a 95 WRX, and It'd be so much fun to rip it up in the dirt haha.

yeah may 6th is pretty open i think. just got back from the rallyX today. its super smooth,
though the fun runs at the end were a little more average in bumpyness but still smooth for a rallyX.
the course is super cool too, lots of elevation change near the end. my only suggestion is that they not place cones on the outside of the loop turns or place them farther
the course pretty much confined you to one line, about 1.5 car widths in some places...so i think it woud be nice to have it wider in some places ( not dirt, just cone placement) like turns so i could have some sliding to film! but nice course design and good job making it smooth, Brent i think his name was, the one that worked overtime making it an awesome course from what i heard. thanks man
nice seeing all the familiar faces, mr rizzo i heard your name and got footage of you but couldnt find you afterwards since you left your car...i was the one filming with the black subaru shirt and black hat.
