a Forester got 1st of 20 in stock AWD at Altamont years back...
I rallyx with my autocross and street setup...i just adjust my AGXs. They can go pretty soft.
better do some shakedowns before the race. You live in the mountains so i know you have a few rutty turnouts if not dirt roads.
Any word on Sonoma dirt condition? im assuming its quality fairground dirt!? haha. Hopefully not Vallejo ashfelt dumping ground lol that was fun with no skidplate.

Quality fairground dirt for the majority of it, with a nice downslope - probably around 30 ft. of downslope along the right side of the lot leading down to a whole lower level of the lot. It's going to make for a great course once we get the 18" high grass mowed down, and the parking stakes removed.

But I think it's still better than two years ago when it was like the dust bowl. hahaha

I have a white RS coupe and i think i had bronze oem 05 wrx wheels on? I was #7. I washed my car for the first time since Vallejo about 2 weeks ago

Hey guys. I've been reading a suspension damper book and "full soft" isn't necessarily the way you want to go.
You need to make sure that you have enough damping to control the unsprung weight as it bounces around. So most likely, you only want your setting to be a little softer than you normally put it for the street.
But I'm still learning so what do I know.

yeah im on street setting and i rip around in the dirt pretty well if i find some. I dont bother putting it softer unless im rallyXing.
I dont really know anything about cars in the first place, i just drive them. I figure softer for more traction and my RSB rotates me around cones pretty nicely.

anyway...Roo....thx for that snyopsis of the 'slope'....PE is a little concerned about it (I personally haven't seen this field myself, I've had some folks recce it for me, and I'm just going by their word and pics).
I'll try to have a fun 'off camber' sweeper across the downside....and maybe a nascar style 'cambered' turn as well, haha.
