Don't forget, it's not only will prevent your wheels from being stolen, it will also prevent your car from being stolen or towed! Just hope that the DPT meter maids don't put boot on another wheel of yours! That is unless you have a set of 4 and have 2 minutes to install all 4 everytime you park your car in a shady neighborhood. Let's hope it's also not raining when you are putting these boots on! BTW, these things must weight a good amount so your fuel economy and useful space in the trunk would go down. I dunno, I think getting two sets of wheel locks is better than this $500 boot and more cost effective/convenient, etc.

well just like car thieves have sets of 100 keys, wheel thieves have their arsenal of lug keys.

i dont think they would bother picking the lock, when there are 20 other wheelsets to be had in a 1 mile radius that a thief would much rather go for.
but yeah in 20 years if EVERYONE used these, then the lock would be picked.
they need an ear piercing alarm UNDER the arm, so if it did get picked, youd be able to run out and get them before they got that last wheel off.

i wouldnt use it everyday, but i park i n SF...or used to 1 night a week and it wouldnt be that inconvenient 4 times a month.

probly 10 or 20 lbs

I think it is pretty cool. I wouldn't use it on my suby, but if I still had a Honda I might be a customer.
I used to use an alpha lock and my car still got stolen from my "nice" neighborhood. They just flatbed towed my car away.

yeah, theres no such thing as a nice neighborhood...unless its some rich community with a gate security guard and a golf course

sure a neighborhood can be really nice to hang out in the day time, walking your dog saying hi to neighbors, kids everywhere...but at night it all changes.
