Niners pick Alex Smith!!!!!

Keep him... Rattay and Dorsey are not the future. Is Smith maybe , maybe not but he is better than both of them. If they had draft a WR, then they would trade. Now let's get David Boston like they were talking about and we'll have upgraded significantly.

from the little that I have heard, I don't think 49ers and Smith will match up well in the long term. Smith is all about money and his agent is a hardballer. I could be wrong but that's what my impression was from watching some of the local news.
Other than that, I was surprised Aaron Rodgers got picked 24th or something.

Stupid draft unless they plan to trade. Which I don't see.
They still have no offensive line and a crap load of weeknesses on defense.
They should have traded down in the first round and picked up an extra 2nd rounder. Drafted some good defense and an offensive linemen.
but no....the QB is the good "political" move. Makes the fans happy. It's the quick fix.
Not gonna do **** for them. I mean..just gonna toss another raw young kid into the flames. He's gonna look like crap and the fans will turn on him like they do everyone else when they're not winning superbowls. Stupid front office stupid fans.

On a semi-related note. I went to school at San Leandro High with Marviel Underwood, who got drafted by Green Bay this weekend. Just when I told my friends during the draft, "Nah, my school never had any pro athletes."

I went to Riordan high school with Donald Strickland (playing for Colts?). He played football all 4 years but to tell u the truth I never really thought out of all the players in our school, that he would be the one to make it to the NFL.
