The Rage...by Arden Fair Mall
Polyesters...Also by the mall next door to Big 5 Sporting goods
815 L - its on, well.....815 L St.
Classic Jukebox - They changed their name, but I think the club is still there, I am not sure what the new name is, but its in Roseville on Sierra College Blvd., I believe.

I would have them check out Moods in old town Sac. That place is supposed to be a lot of fun. Another place recently opened that is very upscale is "K-bar" at 12 and K downtown. It's right across from the IMAX.

My sister, my sister's friends and even my mother and her friends goto Faces http://www.faces.net/club.asp It's where you go if you want to have a good time and not get hassled by slim shady.
I know im going to get a lot of crap for this from the sacto guys but i've heard they have the best music/atmosphere etc. Just don't expect any guys to pick up on them...might get a few girls trying to though if you get my drift

The Rage and the Classic Jukebox attract the under-21 crowd (and they are fairly ghetto).
815 L is alright, but I really haven't explored too many clubs since I moved to Sac. I got club burn out right before I moved.

if you want a place a bit more upscale and for an ag egoup between 20 and 30, then check out Harlows downtown.
sonicsuby is very accurate in his ratings of the clubs.
another place to check out is the 7440 club at 7440 Auburn Blvd. it's actually very ghetto, but it's a lot of fun.

A) Polyester's has been closed for over a year (unless they recently re-opened). One too many parking lot stabbings.
B) The Jukebox is again the Jukebox. A new owner took over last April and returned it to the Classic Jukebox (from Club Kaotik). It's over 21 every night. Fridays are old school R&B and this Friday there will be a band. The place is not GHETTO except that one of the bouncers drives a Honda Civic. I go there every Friday night and it's always fun (except for this Friday when I will be attending some basketball game at Arco ). http://www.theclassicjukebox.com
Your choice of club depends on where in Sac they want to stay/go and what type of music they're looking for.
815L is great for choice as they have two different dance floors (hip hop downstairs and house upstairs) and they are smack in the middle of downtown. http://www.815lstreet.com/
Harlow's is a classy choice and is also downtown. They have a cigar bar too which rates highly in my book! http://www.harlows.com/
One of my favorite clubs for R&B/dance is RJ Grind's in the Doubletree Hotel (across the street from Arden mall & near the Elephant Bar). A little older crowd, but much more mellow than the Rage or 815L.
The Rage is right down the street from RJ's, but I have to agree it gets a lot of the younger crowd, especially on Fridays. http://www.ragenightclub.com/
I cannot attest to Eric's rating of Faces as my homophobic self will not go anywhere near that place. For the guys who may go there just be on the lookout for holes in the bathroom stalls and women with a little something extra! http://www.facesnightclub.com/default.asp
You can always check this site too for more clubs:

I prefer City Limits myself down on Aurburn...
In fact I'm suddenly reminded how much I miss Monique.
(just kidding Terri!)
