Next North Bay driving adventure......

So I'm putting on a 2-day Redwood Road Rally run, overnighting at Burlington campground in Humboldt Redwoods.

I will be re-introducing the "run/work" rally format for probably 3 or 4 sections, the rest we would drive as a group, but spacing the cars out by a minute or two for these timed sections adds to the adventure and will make for lots of good video and photo opps.

The route will be thoroughly detailed, so navigators won't even have to do calculations if they don't want to, each regularity (TSD) section will have a start time listed and will only have one assigned speed (don't worry- I'll try to set the speeds low enough to not be stupid, but fast enough to be a little bit challenging).

All of the timed sections will be paved, but there will be some fairly extensive unpaved touring sections, with paved alternatives for anyone who doesn't want to drive on gravel.

So who is down for this? (I'll see if I can keep track here...)

Huck

Daredevil

Bushido

i-Blue Virus

gotwrx

we have a full grid!

And the date is official:

This weekend! October 11, 12

We'll meet at the good-ole Washoe House, corner of Roblar and Stoney Point roads north of Petaluma- bright and early- on Saturday, heading out around 8:00 AM

This will be quite an adventure!

Count Huck in. Unfortunately I am busy the weekends of the 4th/5th and the 25th/26th of October (I believe October was the target month as I recall). Other than that I'm pretty open.

Where'd everyone else go? Hey guys Psoper started a new thread, get over here!

OK so the 134th and the 12th it is!

-ROFLMAO-

Max-if this is what you get like on Monday night, the campfire session is going to be epic.

I think we'll need limit the "entries" to 5 or 10 cars, just to make sure we've got a full crew and hopefully get our campground space reserved.

as long as it doesn't conflict with the upcoming Thunderhill Rally school, count me in.

Since I will be one of the co-driving instructor assistants, I need to be there too, and I'm looking forward to the rallycross now that I have some reall rally tires!

I think i'm clear that weekend , but i not 100% sure. I'm doing something either the first or second weekend of the month and can't remember.

Tarmac or gravel? As long as the roads are narrow and twisty it really doesn't matter. Although the dirt/gravel would look great on film with the hugh dust clouds following each car.

That's a long way from Santa Rosa- unless your work is delivering agricultural products to or from the most remote locations in Humboldt county......on Sundays....I don't think we'll be an issue for you

Think he's worried about his safety while driving his route?

Or is he just jealous that he's stuck in his work truck as we buzz past him?
