New to the Subaru community, suggestions on local shops in the 408 area for installs?
Hey guys, I recently purchased an 04 WRX WRB wagon. I've been in the Nissan world for the past 4 years but have since sold my S14 daily/project which allowed me to get the wagon which I've always had interest in, especially in WRB. I'm not new to wrenching on cars since owning the S14 required me to get accustomed to a good amount of hands on work, but I have little experience working on turbo cars. The car is bone stock aside from the Prodrive axle-back that came with the car, and the Mishimoto intercooler hose kit/ Kartboy front and rear end-links that I installed the other day.
I've done a fair amount of research on these cars, and from my experience compared to working on the S14, Subarus are a bit more difficult to work on when it comes to engine work, but I'm not complaining. I love it
So my question is, aside from Speed Element in SJ, does anyone have any input or recommendations for shops in the general 408 area for a turbo install? I would do the job myself, but seeing my inexperience, I'd be much more comfortable taking my car to a shop that I can trust and will get the job done the right way, without charging me too much up the ***. The stock TD04 currently on my car right now is dying, and with some input from a couple of friends after driving the car, we can confirm that the turbo isn't as healthy as it can be. I have already purchased a P&P TD04L and it's ready to go once I find a shop.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I dont know too many shops in SJ other than speedelement since i mostly go to them. The only other 1 i know is AHQ in redwood.

You should come out to a meet. There's a group of us that get together and wrench on a weekly basis. I've done turbo swaps, full suspensions, gauges, inter coolers, custom exhausts, custom grilles, custom splitters... Etc. pm me.
