Cool new ride?

well i'm in the process of getting a wrx wagon. maybe you guys can help me decide which one to get. i'm either going to get a 02-03 wrb wrx wagon, or the new 06-07 wrx wagon either wrb or the dark grey.
thanks for any advice. :-)

If you have the money I would say get the new one. You get a stronger transmission with the new ones and you get the warranty. You can make your final decision when the new wagon comes out, if you don't like it you can get an '02/03.

Uh, I don't know about that. I've already heard of a fair share of 06 trannys going out. Only time will tell.

hhmmm hadn't heard anything. I thought the teeth were a little bigger on the '04 and up. Stock or aftermarket clutch?

Well, they were claimed bigger and better. They may be bigger, but that doesn't mean better. Alot of the tranny breakages had to do with the actual case flexing, not the thinness or weakness of the gears. But then again, your guess is as good as mine.

How stiff is a scatter shield? I wonder if that would stiffen the case, even just a little bit? I am pretty close to getting an '06 and don't want it to be like my '02
