Question Need to test fit some wheels and tires

I put my STi pink springs on my wagon this weekend. The drop looks really nice. Wheels are going to be here ~4/9. I still don't know whether to get 215's or 225's. Does anyone have a set of 17X7.5 with 225/45/17 I can test fit.
TIA
Jeff

That would depend on the rim it's mounted on and the specific tire you get. I have 225/45/17's on my wagon but they are on a set of '04 STI BBS rims.

offset 48 Rota Grids are what I'll be putting on. I went with the mild drop so I could go with a largr tire. I'm hoping there will be enough room so I don't have to deal with the great 225 tire dillema. I was looking at Pirelli Pzero nero's.

dude.....you can toss my rotas on your car if you want...tuesday. I've got my jack and jack stands in the car right now cause I need to put my exhaust hanger on. I was out of town this weekend and planned blah..blah blah.

Anyways. I'm running rotas. i've got 225 and I am quite sure I am much lower than you are in the back and I DO NOT rub. not even this weekend when I had my brother in the car with me along with 2 HUGE bags full of snowboard gear, 3 snowboards, my jack, jack stands, sub box. Etc.

You can run 225's.

Just stay away from things like falken 615's or tires like that. Check their cross section and height. I wanted to run proxe 4's but they place didn't have them so I had to pick a different tire. I played it safe and got the one with an 8.8 cross section instead of a couple others that were running 9.1 or so. ES100's are wide as well.

You'll be fine with 225's.

Maybe if we can find a garage you can toss mine on while I do my exhaust hangers and take a spin around town to see if you can get them to rub.....

225s + rolled fenders + almost tucking tires = much happier then when i had 215s.

They handle/look a lot better. I ran some sprint springs on my wagon with 225s and had no rubbing issues, without rolling, and they lower a lot more then the pinks do. Im on coilovers now.

josh helped me out with a "custom roller"

it cracked a little but touch up paint works wonders.

would that custom roller happen to be a bat? haa.

Best way to keep it from cracking is to cover it with painters tape...and get a heat gun. Heat it up..not to much..just warm it up..then roll it.

I just don't have confidence in our wonderfull SOA paint.

jeff...let me know if you want to test fit my wheels. It's all good mang.

Ray, I'd seriously like to try them on . I need to order my tires soon. I'd rather not roll the fenders, if I can avoid it. I have a garage and tools if your interested. If not I could always try 'em on Tues.
Late,
Jeff
