Need Spark Plug Wires for 00RS ASAP!
Okay... So I finally got around to work on my CEL problem (P0304)... For the longest time I just had to warm up the car before I take off. and I would need to keep the rev at 1.5k or above during the warm-up to prevent the CEL from coming up. Couple days ago I was lazy and let the car warm up naturally, without holding the rev, and guess what, my CEL came back on.
I finally got the time to pick up some OEM spark plugs and was able to replace them. That's when I noticed my cylinder 3 spark plug wire connector broke inside the boot. Sucks to be me... I gave my second car to my gf and she is no where near by right now. The only Kragen that is within walking distant doesn't have the wires in stock and I don't know if I want to (or how for that matter) go to Stevens Creek Subaru to pick up some.
HELP!

I hope the wires and plugs are it... since my code is for cylinder 4 and the wire broke in cylinder 3... i'll take some pics later, but it's just so worn off, the connector inside just came off. I would think it's a similar situation with the cylinder 4 wire...
btw, any brand/model recommendation would be good.

subaruparts.com has them for $32.98 and subarugenuineparts.com has them for $31.68...
but I would have to wait and pay for shipping...

will call Subaru tomorrow to see if they have it in stock and how much... I have a feeling Stevens Creek Subaru would ask for double of that...

okay, I called Santa Cruz Subaru and Stevens Creek Subaru both have them for $46. I also called Fremont of Subaru but they can't seem to find the set and only selling them individually for $14 a pop. So far all Subaru places sell them as a set except for Fremont so I am going to go with majority here.
Question is, should I get the $36 Borg Warner wires or $46 Subaru wires? $10 is not that big of a deal, just wondering...

got them! guess what happened?
Ryan Cavalier from Subaru of Fremont actually tracked me down through i-club and this thread and emailed me. On top of that, he matched the price from subaruparts.com!!
+1 for Subaru of Fremont

This is the first time I've ever seen anyone from a dealership go out on a whim like that for a BAICer...
Awesome. I think I might have to check out this dealership now.

also did a review on them since I now have experience with their parts department and sales...

btw, the salesperson was pretty nice too.

update...
Replaced spark plugs and wires... first start still has CEL and ran a bit rough still. waited until the car warmed up a bit. Turned it off and started it up again, CEL did NOT come on! I think I got the CEL about 10 days ago and after about 30-40 starts, it never went away. So since the CEL went away after 2 starts, I am happy, but I'll wait for couple more days...
The car drives very smooth now and hopefully the CEL doesn't come back again and my gas mileage be consistant again...
will post pictures of the old plugs and wires later tonight. the old plugs were only in there for about a month...
