need some answers on kw variant 3's

I got some questions thats been confusing me for quite some time.

I didnt install these coilovers myself, so i wasnt really sure how to adjust the ride height because the thread was short on the body itself.

Also the fronts are higher than the rears by about a inch? The directions recommend the fronts to be around 13 and the rears 12, which doesnt really make sense to me.

Hope someone can fill me in.

On the collar, there's a hex screw on the spring perch that's used to lock the spring perch from adjusting. Loosen that and start twisting the spring perch to adjust height. After you're done tighten the hex screw again.

As for the the amount of thread left, are you talking about below the spring perch? If so, then that just means you can't go too much lower.

I'm not sure about the height difference between the front and rear arches. I believe it has to do with weight transfer when you brake. For example, a higher rear than front will cause a lot more weight transfer to the front which can lead to a lot of oversteer. Don't trust on this though. I'm still learning about the suspensions.

Does anyone more knowledgeable than me want to correct anything?

^ Maybe? I think it's making the rear looser, which means the rear will swing out more easily.

a higher rear will loosen up in turns so it will cause over steer correct? Cus when ever i take a quick turn i start to get a little sideways so i kinda gotta feather the gas a bit

im not sure either? lol. i thought moar weight to the front would lead to pushing the car out further causing understear, where as equal weight would hold the car down as much as possible. i could be wrong too though. but anyways, back on topic, im not sure whats up with your coils.. take it to speed element for adjustments. i got mine done for 75. but i ended up lowering my car moar anyways. lol.

ya i never really experienced coilovers with a short thread body. Most coils like BC or megans (My old set), the whole thing was threaded, while the Kw's are only half threaded.

^ I can promise you that the KW's are far better than your previous coilovers.
