Need paint advice - the mo' cheap the mo' betta :p
Ok, so many i-clubbers have probably seen the multi-colored red/black/blue/silver swapped L sedan in action the past couple years- what I am trying to figure out what to do with my paint setup now. I dont mean to make this a long story but its hard for me to summarize my situation. My car has been in a few minor accidents (*cough* four *cough*) since I first picked it up in 2004. So the majority of the body is still factory crimson red. There is no doubt that I will get the whole thing re-painted and bondo'd in the future. But that wont be for another year or more...until I get setup for performance down pretty much. I still havent decided on the shade of dark red, dark grey or black.
But for now I have a dilemma on my hands. I finally picked up a brand new fender for the passenger side this week, so I can finally put matching and painted dentless front fenders on my car. Recently, I have been running a flat black fender on my driver side, and no fender on my passenger side. For now I just want a temporary fix - a painted front passenger fender to match my driver side. Both new fenders are off my car now and in my truck ready to take to someone to get painted. the driver side is painted already, I just want to take it to someone so they can match it wiht my new fender which is currently primer black. Can anyone here do this with their own equipment? I am willing to pay $$ for their time and also buy the necessary paint materials. It doesnt need to blend perfectly with the rest of the car, as long as its close. Anybody have suggestions for someone or a shop to take these fenders to? Preferably local to Fremont. Thanks!

The prob with getting the repaint now is that I want more than a 1-stage paint job which is what they have under $300, and I dont want to make a choice that I would regret later on - i.e. I shoulda got Crystal Metallic Grey or something along those lines...
Well the first quote I got was around $200, which is not bad but not exactly cheap to paitn a body part that is already primered and off the car. Any other suggestions?
