Question for you guys in the know. So I will probably have to replace the fenders, bumper, and hopefully not, but maybe the hood. There's also a dent in the roof. I'm sure they're gonna have to do a lot of paint work. Being that the said repairs will be covered under insurance, is this the opportunity to get an entire new color? door sills and all? or are they just going to do the outside paint, in which case i'd have to keep wrb? How does all this work?

Great news! Congrats on that. I don't know a whole lot on how the insurance deals with that, but my aunt and uncle's car got a good amount of damage to it a few years ago and the insurance company sent someone out to do an estimate on the damage and basically gave a dollar amount to be able to spend on repairs. They did a good job on finding the best deal and they still got everything done good quality, so they were able to get the whole car repainted in addition to the repairs done and spot painting. I will say this though, the car is a 68 or 69 Karmann Ghia, so the fact that it leans more towards a collector car might have to do with them getting a few extra bucks for the repairs.

Thanks Kyle. Looks like I need to go get a quote tomorrow and report it to the insurance by the look of it.

We need to shred some deep this weekend!
