Do not put a towel in your exhaust, that is one good way to screw up your car d00d.

I actually have the hook thingy. I've tugged it for a bit... but it won't budge. Thanks for your offer though.

Haha. I did... I am not trying to break my exhaust, though. I'll try again tomorrow.

don't pull in just one area. you have to work the hook around the silencer. go clockwise or counter-clockwise and tug at it as you circle around.

Yeah. My friend got it off while I was BBQ'ing. He was really tugging at it. Anyways, it looks nice and sounds nice. Going to drive it shortly before I drop the silencer back on. When I get back in about a half an hour, I'll post pics.

We'll see. The thing is I am losing low end torque right now, and I figure that I can recreate some back pressure by leaving the silencer in.

A properly tuned engine with less exhaust back pressure will allow the turbo to spool earlier, increasing low to mid-range torque, not reduce it.

Uh. My subie is an NA. I read somewhere that too big of a piping will lead to loss of low-end torque.

Yeah. It is a WRX JGT500 with 3" piping. I read somewhere that NA should have piping no bigger than 2.5". Something about how the engine actually needs some back pressure to produce power. Somebody correct me if I am wrong.
