Need Help: Can't seem to get Silencer Off

Hi all.

Sorry about the noob question, I just got the JGT500 put onto my Impreza L. It looks pretty cool, but I can't seem to get the silencer off. I took off the nut, and then I used the hook thing that came with the catback, but still can't seem to get it out. Am I missing something?

TIA.

You got to tug on it till it comes off. It's a bit sticky. Wrap a towel around the tuggy thingy so your had wont hurt. You can try some 11D40.

Oh yeah... I love it with the silencer on... I'll really love it when I get the silencer off. Anyways... I'll slowly work on the silencer. I'll just tug at it until it comes out.

put a towel on the tail pipe, then start your car and start reving!
well, if it doesn't work, then you have to do it the hard ways like above.

use the hook and pull the right side, then the left, then the top, the the bottom. Just keep going around until it starts to come out.

Thanks all. I'll keep tugging at it a little by little until it comes out.

wm07, does that actually work? I am tempted to try that.

go with the pliers, who cares about how the silencer looks if it gets a little scratched

Cool cool. What do grab with the pliers? Oh. I think I know what you are talking about, but the silencer I have, that center thing isn't actually there.

Try some kind of rod, that has a bend at the end that can go inside of the silencer, and pull on it. Do a side by side motion, meaning left to right top to bottom until you get it to come off. Good luck bro

it works. Just remember the pipe will shoot out 10-15 feet, and it might hurt people. that's why you want to put some towel there to catch the silencer. it doesn't hurt for you to try right?
I have done that once myself because I was being lazy.
