Cliffs Notes from pizza's n00b memory (facts only to avoid fighting about it all over again):

Alex starts I-club.
Alex needs IT help, thus Nick.
Hijinks ensue.
Nick bans Alex.
Alex retains control of "i-club.com" registry.

The situation remains at what we have today.

Does this happen to every car board out there? Same crap happened to the honda-acura.net way back in 98? They split went their separate ways honda-acura.net stayed and honda-tech.com was created. I guess history does repeat itself huh?

All I know is that I made an *** out of myself trying to PM someone in Nasioc an I-Club link over a sale that fell through. The link was censored to replace the i-club address with a Nasioc address. Ended up pissing the guy off because he got redirected to some off topic post that had nothing to do with what we were talking about. Was lame. I've been over here ever since.

own3d by the filter!

(For people that don't know...that "i-club" ---> "nasioc" filter is not malicious on Nick's part...he needed to do that to keep all the links in the NASIOC database valid. It just has the side affect of making it *slightly* difficult to actually link to i-club. Just capitalize the I ("I-club") and it works fine.)

It's pretty much water under the bridge at this point. We made a choice and we are here. A lot of BAIC'ers retain dual-membership so they can peruse the NASIOC board but things like meets and drives are usually composed of i-Club members. I don't think I really meet many folks who are NASIOC-exclusive members.

What Nick does with NASIOC at this point doesn't really have an impact on i-Club. We've moved on.

The final straw for me was when Nick tried to charge me a "mandatory donation" of $5 for a username change...

I-club, what it used to be, when i joined was just a great place. As more members stated showing up, things just turned downhill.
