It took me a while to place but her feet smell like creosote... and I kept thinking she might have been using the train tracks and creeks/rivers to get around. She smells really strong of it. I'm hoping she didn't drink anything too toxic.
She was found in an area we did not flyer (west of the 29 and northwest of downtown) by what sounded like a younger girl who saw her flyer at her dance school and then, when she returned home, was surprised to see Jynx in her backyard. She called the Humane Society and they got her and called us!
Her house backs up to a creek that runs into the Napa river.
Amazing. We are so happy to have her back home... so happy that we were supposed to be on vacation so we had the time to devote to finding her.
To those of you that have lost your dogs and not had them returned. I am so sorry. This has been a ****ty week and I can't imagine never having them found.

Krinkov- I could barely understand her when she called to tell me! I wasn't sure if I was hearing good news or terrible news!
A friend of ours went up yesterday while we were working just to look around. If she hadn't been there Jynx dog would have been stuck in the shelter until Monday. Thank goodness she was up there to get her out before they closed!
In the end she's home. Wagging her tail and licking her wounds. She snored all night long...

I'm betting that this Dog Collar will be on Jynx shortly.
A good investment - cheaper than flyering and worrying for three days.

very tempting. We've been looking into GPS collars. It'd be nice if they were a bit... smaller and had better battery life. Still something that's on our minds!
For now her new regular tag is on.
