I love going to Porsche track days to watch all of the amazing cars. But somehow, the 914 still holds a special place in my heart. I love those cars.

Either that or the 959, but you never see those IRL, although there were 2 for sale on craigslist a bit ago...

Yeah consider that one an early christmas present for the 'spank bank'

I would rather just have the car, but thats just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Ive driven a lot of cars in my days, from high power corvettes, to high output supras, but NOTHING has come close to how great the GT3 was. I've driven other 911's (not GT2/GT3) and NONE of them have come close to how great the GT3 was. The quality of all the buttons, to the linear power (vs our turbo), the noise from his exhaust, the feel of the shifts, and the looks people gave us when we were driving. The car handles like a dream and I only wish my subie would turn in like that.

God, it was such a great car. I got to drive at WOT with him in the car and it made my modified STi feel like a civic. They are just two totally different cars and you cant really can't compare them.

If you EVER get a chance to drive one, PLEASE do so, you will NOT regret it. The only car I could think of that would be better is the GT2, but considering how great the 997 GT3 was, it's hard to believe.

I'm really in love and driving my STi feel like Im driving some rental car beater...

I drove a total of about 50 or so miles... Drove to 17 and took vine hill road into santa cruz, so if you guys are familiar with that road, you'll know how great the the drive really was.

I feel very blessed, but I can't deny the fact that during the entire drive all I could think of our fallen fellow Subie member, Daniel (Joebobbucket). That has been affecting me so and I barely slept last night because if it... I had to take an ambien in order to get a little sleep.

I dedicate my drive to Daniel, and I really want us all attend his memorial in our subies.

RIP Daniel, you will be missed dearly by EVERYONE and you were one of the nicest people have ever met, and Im sure that someone of you will agree with you guys.

Sorry to hyjack from porsche to death.

Just becareful out there and make sure you get plenty of sleep before taking a drive.

Should have made Historics this year. Not only was there a road version 959, but one of the Rothman's Dakar 959s as well. Yup. There's a pic of the Dakar one on my FB.

17 can be lots of fun... minus the stupid drivers, traffic, and cops.

Sounds like you got a "real" test drive of the GT3.
