I would pick up an FN FAL or a Galil ARM. Two of the best battle rifles hands down.

not if you shoot out both their knees.

then you spend the next 24-48 hours trying to extract intel from them. meanwhile you keep hammering at them that they'll never walk again.

then when they finally break, you give them chance to take out their own life.

you place a single round in a handgun and place it 15 feet away from them.

you walk out of room and you wait for them to scream.

what they dont know is that the round is a dud and they realize you just played the cruelest trick on them.

ahhhh... the memories. too bad fraternity hazing is now banned...

I've got an M-44, nice rifle accurate, but it kicks like a mule. Takes a lot of concentration when shooting to hit anything. But if you relax and squeeze the trigger it will shoot decent groups at 100 yards.

I like my M1-A better but it cost about 15X the cost of an M-44.

Did you get all the cosmoline off of it? God I hate that crap, takes forever to get off and it stinks. Damn, my stock is still greasy.

I know something even more traumatizing. How about running people through the woods with little food and no sleep under constant evaluation, physical torture and mental anguish for two years. Then to top it off on the last day divide them into two groups and have them turn in all their equipment, paperwork, etc... then tell them "Left group, you'll be return to your units. Right group, you've made it."

Damn $80!?!?! That's insane.

...and so is 10 days... freakin' Cali. When I bought my Yugo SKS (complete with grenade launcher barrel thing that's illegal in Cali, and a bayonet, plus 12-round clip) in Washington I saw it, paid for it, and walked out with it... all in like 20 minutes .

...and yeah, cosmoline sucks. Total PITA.
