My friend passed away yesterday and had some wise words...
Ive known this kid for longer than Ive know just about anyone... He's a nice peaceful kid but he was unfortunate enough to get cancer....
We'd visit him almost every day to brighten up his day a little... His mom and sisters are at his side 24/7...
... I'm trying not to get all emo here but his last words to me were "Life is not worth fighting, be positive and everything will become positive, just give it time.
Within 3 mins of him telling me that he was comatose and eventually slipped into the next existence. One of the saddest things Ive ever seen. He just wanted a peaceful life with children and a cushy life (he went to Stanford and was a bright kid) but he couldn't beat cancer.
Man, what a REALLY rought day this is... All he wanted was to give a good life to his kids and now he can't because the darkness took him over.
Ah, such a f'ed up day. Not looking forward to the FUNERAL AT ALL.
cancer can go suck my ****ing left foot toe jam.

God damn, this was supposed to be a good year.... So far 2011 has been painful as hell.
I dont know how to deal with this.
It rememinds me of when Matt Hinton passed away.... I felt so worthless.

sorry for your loss.
one thing that may help is to cherish his life, and help continue to drive forward the things he believed in... carry on his dreams and goals. just think that he is not living in pain and is no longer suffering the ill effects of cancer.
maybe even open a memorial fund, non-profit or scholarship fund.
and, to cherish and make the most of what is in front of you now... your own life and everything and everyone apart of it.
but i agree with his last words.
again, i think many of us may not feel your pain, but definitley understand it and have been there before. Life must go on, and your buddy would have wanted the same for you. Celebrate his life...

Im having the worst day Ive had in a long time.... Especially with Roo tearing me a new one. If he wants to do the annual event he should learn how to treat people properly.
Ug, today sucks!

another thing to try moving forward is removing yourself from having to interact with these negative people... even friends.
it's difficult, but can be done. i think the negativity type attitude spreads like cancer as well. and if you find yourself being negative, just try your best to not put that on other people and to remove yourself from these situations entirely.
be happy for what you have, all your fingers, toes, eyes, etc... and your health... your subaru, and be glad your aren't living in Egypt.

Man that really sucks. My condolences brah.
I have a lifelong illness and thats pretty much the exact thing I was thinking not too long ago when I was bedridden.
"Life is not worth fighting, be positive and everything will become positive, just give it time".

Sorry for your loss bro. My dad has colon cancer right now. He's going through chemo and will probably still need radiation and surgery to remove the afflicted area. Even though it's the most "curable" form of cancer, it still sucks big time. Today is his second dose of IV chemo. He's one week of that, 2 weeks of pill form chemo, then one week off until that friday. 3 months of it. It's got me down more than I show to people.
Those are great words to live by. I've been trying to be more positive lately, but it's difficult with all the **** going on in this world.
