Rip the motor out, drop a 351w block in, plop a AOD and a 9" locked up in her, toss on a 671 atop that motor, a set of doublepumper 630's, and you have one ugly fast sleeper.
Then I would drop the front with a mustang clip, disk brakes, chop the top 3-4", do a channel chop, suicide the doors and shave all the chrome. Final step is toss on a mean deep black paintjob with yellow/red flames.

Again man, you have so much potential with a 53 cad..
Drop her with a Camaro front clip, corvette rear end clip. Then cut and section the body for a overall 3" drop in body profile. Cut and chop the roof another 3".
Next drop a 502 block in her, breathing from a single 1200 double pumper or better yet one of the new edlebrock FI systems.
End her up with a nice paint job, a brow over the windshield, and frenched in lights.

Mine's a 4 door so no chop. 4 doors with chops look like crap.
Doors are shaved. It's decked. Nose is next. Antenna is shaved. Visor. Custom springs with straight out of the 60's custom drop spindles lowers the front about 5 inches. Rear is getting 2.5 on blocks and a notch. Bags all around. Paint will be a flat pearl 60's monte carlo metallic burgundy. Roof laced. Motor is out right now. Stock build. .60 over. Rebuilt and slightly openned up heads. Looking for a 3x2 manifold right now. Polished/finned valve covers and valley pan. Polished coil cover and fuel block. etc.
It'll be a straight custom when done. super wide whites. whole 9.
The next car will probably be either a roadster or a 5 window chopped, channeled with a beast of a motor in it. Something low and scary. Either that or I'm building a harley. straight 60's. rigid. bar hopper. The caddy is the family car.
