From my experience with a package of turkeyburger my wife "lost" in the trunk of my other car for a week (in summer) and the research I did then:
Don't use anything with perfumes, or any sort of masking scent! At least not more than for the initial cleanup. You will grow to hate that smell as much as the original. No, really. This excludes most normal cleaners.
As others have suggested, enzyme based pet odor remover type products are best. It may well take time (weeks) and multiple applications, but the smell will go away eventually if you use those. Try to find one without a cover scent, I really can't stress that enough.
Zeolite powder may or may not help -- it's supposed to absorb odor, then you vacuum it up. I was never really able to tell if it made a differerence.

i already did all the work trying to get rid of the smell and you dont really smell it unless you put your nose and sniff the seat. I guess the puke got in the foam and spread when i hosed it down with water.
Good thing the back seat is black so you cant see any stain, but i can tell there's a stain because some part of the seat in darker than other parts.

have you used your A/C yet?......ew.......does it smell funny?......
i the same **** happen to me.....i pulled over took my shirt off and started carefully getting the chunks out, then i stopped at Walmart (230am) and got some towels and carpet cleaner and started scrubbing....the hole time my friend is in the planters of the parking lot sleeping and blowin chunks....what a night!!!!!
and to top it off it still smelled the next morning so i took it in to a detail shop and they sucked it out and sprayed some stuff on the fabric/foam....it worked but when i used my A/C it still smelled, its totally gone now thou.......i think
