As a designer and amateur photographer.... I hate hate hate hate..... hate hdr.

For the most part I've lost a lot of the interest I had in photography because everyone with a digital camera and photoshop thinks they are a photographer. Kind of like everyone that can bootleg the adobe creative suite is suddenly a designer.

I like black and white and I like being in the darkroom. Only thing that interests me in photography these days.

As for your shots... I can only see one on my phone.

Very nice photos. Great vibrant colors.

I feel like I might be the only person left that likes HDR.

I can see the picts now. Not bad. Yeah just use the effects overkill and some of those are pretty good.

Thanks guys. Yeah this is at the Old Ford Ord base. When Justin gets back from SLO he wants to go on a photo shoot so everyone else local should come too!

I reformatted my SD Card so now I'm going to start fresh and use an actual editing software this time

I don't mind them when done properly and for the right reason. When you start getting black skies and halos around objects, not so much. The intended purpose of HDR (High Dynamic Range) was to increase the... dynamic range! This means more detail in the darks/shadows AND brights/highlights. When you start getting those sharp striations and the wheel well is straight black, that's actually the opposite of the intended purpose of HDR. None of this is meant to knock the OP by any means though. We've all done an HDR or two. Hell, I've HDR'd Electra's blue 06/07 in the same location

To the OP, if you do want to get into doing true HDR's, look at a piece of software called Photomatix (or Photomatic?). It is much better for generating HDR's than Photoshop (at least photoshop CS4, I haven't run CS5 through it's paces).
