Red face My 4th of July story... the good & the bad

GOOD:
I met up with soudwave and a bunch of his friends and we were down at the beach in Santa Cruz blasting off fireworks and watching basically a warzone of pyrotechnics going on =D It was great, getting to shoot off whatever fireworks we wanted and the sheriff right there who could care less. I'm definetly going to keep heading down there on the 4th to see the show and just to avoid getting hassled about illegal fireworks. So we left the beach around 10pm or so and drove home, got to my house about 11. Then around 11:45 I went over to my friend Evan's house who lives 3min from my house. We kicked it at his house with some other friends and had some drinks. I figured I should crash at his house since I know I was over the limit. Well, I went to sleep and that was that... what a great night.

BAD:
Came out to my car the this morning only to see all my tires flat. I thought someone deflated them so I called AAA and they brought an air compressor. Unfourtunatley my tires had been slashed. So I had my dad come by with the wagon and we switched back to my stock wheels/tires. I'm going to file a police report and get a hold of my insurance asap. I don't know why people want to mess with our cars, it just pisses me off.. I've had other similar things happen with my last car. This was the first time I didn't park my car in the garage and this crap has to happen.

BTW: I have the warranty for my tires through America's tire co. Does that only cover punctures on the tread? I'm assuming that they won't replace my tires since this was a sidewall puncture.

Hey man...someone slashed one of my tires a couple weeks ago, and I had the warranty through America's Tire.

They gave me full credit for 1 new Kuhmo 712, when I bought my new tires. I wouldn't be surprised if they hooked you up. I love that place, they are the nicest guys ever. If you're worried about yours, try the one @ El Camino and Grant/237 in Mountain View.

good luck.

damn..not a good weekend for some of our members.

Fatal Valocity got a fat citation in santa cruz on sat night and couldn't stay out there for sunday> total bull crap.

Santa Cruz has the best kept 4th secret on the west coast. The entire coast goes off for over an hour strait. Non stop. Commercial grade fire works and all. If you go to capitola you can see the entire coast line...so incredible. Thats a little santa cruz local secret for you guys. Don't tell..I might loose my membership..haa.

By Evan...do happen to meean emgee? Eeze nuts..haaa.

I just gave Americas tire co. a call and they said my lifetime warranty wont cover vandalism but they could probably cut me a deal on a new set once I get my insurance $$.

That's weak man. I got my tire stabbed and had the gold warranty from Wheel Works. They replaced it...cost me $12 or there abouts.

They just put it down as a bad side wall. But then again...it wasn't 4 tires.

I agree...thats what the free road hazard warranty is...I suggest you go to a place other then the one you called now....btw, don't call this time, just show up there.

Well I can't really go anywhere else since I bought my tires there and I have my warranty with them.
