Late September, Mustang Racing Technologies (MRT) hauled a 2005 Black Mustang GT from the Ford plant to their shop. They had approximately 5 weeks to transform this vehicle into the MRT Interceptor™ - a car defined by Mustang enthusiasts for the enthusiast.

October 15, 2004 – Mustang Racing Technologies (MRT) announces the release of their NEW, “Interceptor”™ Mustang package. The Interceptor is exactly what you would expect from MRT - Heritage styling, re-engineered suspension, all new interior, classic exterior style, muscle car exhaust, powertrain additions and more. MRT is known for systems engineering excellence in aftermarket modifications and the Interceptor is proof again why MRT is on top.
Product Scope:
MRT has transformed a Black 2005 Mustang GT into the ultimate “Outlaw” Mustang called the MRT Interceptor™. The MRT Interceptor™ takes on an aggressive muscle car look with a balance of performance from powertrain to chassis to interior. This well balanced car says performance, rebel and outlaw to passers by.

I like the black grill on the rear windows, it's very Mad Max. But the rest of the car looks goofy. Then again I like the look of the last generation of Mustangs more than the new ones so whatever.
Bottom line, it aint no GTO. The 05 GTO is said to have the LS2 V8 from the new Vette. That's reeeeaaal nice

[rant]Im really sick of this whole retro car styling fad, and I think the novelty has worn off on everyone else is to. Didnt Ford learn its leasson with their Thunderbird flop? Cashing in on Retro is just overall design laziness, they will certainly sell enough the first year to new model suckers but then it will die on the vine like the Blunderbird.[/rant]
