oh i thought it was a guy welding some hangers on a Honda exhaust.
and that nucear app surprised me, i thought their range was a lot bigger than one city...but thermal damage meaning your skin melting off instantly? because youll still be hit with radiation 100's of miles away right?

i saw this on Modern Marvels on "Failed Inventions"
Problem with it was in order to shoot it troops were within the immeadiate fallout radius and thats why they never used it.
They would have radiation rain on them before they coudl get the **** out

While not nearly as cool as the mini nuke gun, this is what I fired in the Army.
A friend of mine was on an M109 crew, which carried a nuke round.
It was a single use round, as the blast radius was larger than the gun could fire the shell.

I have a DVD that covers this "Davey Crockett" in full, gives its history, background, and other info.
I'm glad it never saw combat... Imagine how many of our guys would have died if the wind was blowing the wrong way?! It would be cool if it was mounted on an airplane though.

Paul,
So that armored vehicle is basically a suicide machine if it came down to shooting a nuke? That's a pretty crappy deal, but if you know you're going to die then take everyone with you and go out with a BANG!
