All of those Neon guys have their work cut out for them. It'll take alot of homework to bring the Neon up to speed with the WRX as far as tuning is concerned. Then Neon will have a hard time matching the potential of the Rexxer. Especially since they will only have domestic tuners working on it and no help from Japan.
...just my $.02.

I just meant that I don't really see a particular demographic behind the wheel of a Neon. I know it's dumb to generalize, but you have a picture in your head of what the average civic driver is like. Same deal with subie drivers and cadillac drivers for that matter.
Maybe it'll be the offspring of the old-school hotrodder that ends up buying the SRT-4 because there is nothing even resembling an American muscle car any more. Without a reasonably priced V8 powered car, they are forced to buy a Neon if they want to go fast. Got any other ideas?
EDIT: And luckiestryke, what are you Canadian? It's pronounced abowt not aboot!! hahaha

I dunno, I don't think Subaru had any kind of demo for the impreza before the WRX came along. I think a lot of people that wouldn't have considered a Subaru gave them a second thought when they saw what a good performance value the car has. I can see the same thing happening with the new Neon if it lives up to the mag reviews.

Hey, I've always liked Subaru! Then again I'm not as much of a speed freak as some of you guys are, I'm sure
Well actually now that I think about it I probably didn't think much about Subaru until the Forester came out. It was kinda different than the rest of the market then, so I thought more about Subaru.

I won't let it happen, I promise.
And wrxtasy, nobody ever said it was a gift from god. It's a car. And a damn nice one at that. That's why I bought one. What got you so upset to post that?

as far as neon owning anything... they do have a lot of backing from mopar...
but they have been doint this for years.... before they tried to match up the neon w/ the integras of the mid 90's...
the fact that they mentioned the WRX instead of the integra or the audi should say something about the REX.
as far as god's gift... for the $$ and the goodies you get from the REX i think its a great buy.
but seriously... neon? how can you make a commercial that says "Hi!" and expect to have late teens and 20 year olds want to fix it up.
