true, but the water is cold, its really dark, and nothing but seals(sharkfood) swimming around. I will dive ni other places, but I dont like kelp beds, freezing cold water, great whites.

im pretty sure if a shark is hungry and it sees food it will grab it no matter how deep the water.

most sharks are opportunistic feeders, but don't like the taste of humans so they only bite to taste and then move on (yes, I watched last years shark week)

Yeah but they usually sit in deep waters paying attention to whats above them. So they can strike from fast and hard from below where you'd never see them coming.


I am just not worried about sharks man... About six people are killed by sharks every year. Some 50,000 people die of snake bites. Elephants kill 500 people a year.

that just tells me not to worry and continue surfing without thinking about it.

Besides according to some experts, 150 people die every year due to falling coconuts. (Which is apparently 25 times the amount of people who are main course for sharks).
