Modifying sedan rear seats to fold like a wagon
I would like to modify a sedan rear seat bench to fold, in order to place it in my wagon. I've searched everywhere (nasioc, scoobymods ect..) and cannot find much info on it. its possible that my searching skills are ****; but if anyone has any info, please post up.
Also, can you use recaro sliders with the raising mechanism to raise a stock oem seat that doesnt have a raising mechanism??

You can't easily. What I have on my car is I ripped out the sound deadening and took out the 2 metal bars that support the seats, and I don't have my rear seats bolted in. So when I need to carry a huge thing (like a friggin door frame or a 12 foot long 2x4), I just lift up the rear seat. In this fashion i've got a longer "bed" than most half ton pickups
The rear seat is two pieces and I think you can't remove the top half w/o taking out the bottom half first, so maybe what you COULD do is make a hinge where the top half bolts into the chassis.

explanation
I have an 04 2.5TS wagon with nasty grey cloth seats. I would like to get the newer black interior in my wagon (possibly leather), its very hard to find one for a wagon; but a little easier for a sedan, especially with all the wrx owners upgrading to the sti interior. the only problem is that I dont want to give up the folding mechanism on the wagon. So I would need to modify the rear bench to make it fold.
so yes, I want sedan seats to fold in my wagon. its absurd, but true.
I could buy the leather cover kits ect.. but this could easily cost over a grand installed. I have the front seats installed already, I just need a solution for the rear bench. sorry for the confusion.
and if anyone has any info on seat sliders to raise/lower my oem front seats I would appreciate your sharing it.
