now THAT's one you dont see very often.....Kinda like asian+black....I think I have only met one person that was an asain+black mix. Very exotic and unique.

I like the pacific Islander_.05%. I lived with this tongan dude for a while in the dorms in high school...when he was 14....he was 6'1" 345 pounds. Billy Pahulu...wish I could find that cat...he's like 6'6" 290 last I heard and lifting like 550pounds bench.

well, i knew a lot of Croatians when I went to Sac State. and there's a bunch of em in Ranch Cordova...

btw HellaDumb, i'm a "whitey" and i get quite offended by those comments. i went to a high school where white people were not the majority, and didn't really appreciate the reverse racism that's out there. if it's not socially acceptable to make racial comments, that should apply to ALL races, even the majority.

Here is something I've always been curious about.....

REVERSE racism?

If society didn't focus on race....would their be a problem?

This was a question asked in a class my room mate was in. The professors point was that in many other countries racism isn't as much of an issue...or so was the argument he was illustrating.....people in the class kept using the phrase reverse racism....it was an essay test.

My room mate simply put.....WHAT is reverse racism? walked out. Got an A. Had to explain his perspective to the class.

I've always had issues with that....basically the statement implies that only whites can be racist....or puts an astrix next to non white racists. Puts a different level of wrong to it. His point was that if you were to look up racist in the dictionary would it say....a white person that hates based upon race? No it says a person that hates based on race. So all racism is equal...is there really a such thing as reverse racism?

 

OneManArmy, good points. i agree completely, racism is racism. the term i used, reverse racism, is merely the term that's commonly used to describe racism towards white people by minorities. i don't like that it's acceptable to say "kill whitey" even as a joke when it's NEVER acceptable to say "kill (insert race here)" under any circumstances. don't misread what I just wrote, society has deemed racism to be unacceptable, and I think that should apply to ALL forms of it.

real life example... my younger brother (white) was in an english class in junior high school, and the teacher (black) called him a "*******". the school administration was notified of a teacher making racial comments and nothing was done about it. change the situation around a bit, if a student (black) had a racial comment made toward them by a teacher (white), all hell would break loose.

 

Had a similar thing happen to me in jr high..

This black girl was a total ***** in one of my classes. One day she called me a stupid white boy and a dumb ******. So I called her the n-word..eye for an eye right.

Well, apparently it was ok for her to call me racist names but not the other way around. She told her friends and they all wanted to beat me up. Thankfully, our teacher bailed me out. She was really cool - also black, and understood why I said what I did and got mad at the girl for calling me ******

 

Ahahaha... so they stick us all into categories and tell us how we are different... i.e. who oppresses who... and then they get "sensitive" when we talk about it in a "non politically-correct way." Crazy Crackers.
