Negro Modelo is my go to Mexican beer if the only thing the place has is Mexican beer. Every time I get one, I have that "Free Nelson Mandela" song in my head...and I free the Negro Modelo.

Corona is actually pretty good, but ONLY if it's served at the point right before it starts to freeze... I'm talking about so cold that there are tiny little ice crystals starting to form. I dunno why but it makes the beer taste a lot better, especially on a hot summer day.
Drinking corona when it's room temp is REALLY bad... Ug, makes me want to gag just thinking about it. Funny how temp makes such a HUGE difference.

+1 in that order.
like others, i will only drink corona if it is hot out and the beer is ice cold. it is pretty damn refreshing that way. what alot of people miss is that mexican beer is specifically made to pair with the country's climate and food. that is why you see more light bodied lagers that will pair much better with spicy food and hot weather than say a porter or stout.

I'm suckin down a Pacifico right now I like it OK, but it's usually just when it's on sale or people are coming over that I don't know what they drink, Pacifico is easy to like, they'll usually drink it without complaint and usually a compliment or two.

Here's why "mexican beer" (which is really just american adjunct lager made in mexico and then imported) tastes like ****. You're supposed to eat it with spicy mexican food that abuses your taste buds so much that you can't taste the beer.
Fun Fact: Corona says that in the olden days the beer would spoil quickly, but adding the lime hides the spoiled flavors. In other words, they know that their stuff tastes like ****, so you should just throw something else in there to hide that fact.
Oh, and thank you for keeping the cheap mexican beer out of our "official beer thread"
