Mechanic Shops for Lease??

Hey guys I need some help here.

The family mechanic shop property is getting sold. I need to find a shop to lease ASAP. Do any of you know of any mechanic shops that are closing or any vacant auto repair properties that are up for least in the Bay Area? The shop right now is in Berkeley so any properties around there or surrounding cities would be great. If you have any leads to some, it would be greatly appreciated. We're trying not to close the business because it's been really successful for the past 20 years. Thank you very much!

-Ken

Maybe try craigslist to see if there are any shops for lease or sale or what have you.

I'll help you look around. I think I saw you in Oakland 1 or 2 weeks ago, on International making a left turn.

I'm starting to miss the wheels I sold you, I'll buy them back off you.

Thanks man, but yeah, Antioch would be too far. We were looking at

Richmond
El Cerrito
Pinole
Hercules
Albany
Berkeley
Emeryville
Martinez

I think those are the cities that would serve the best since it's in the surrounding around of all of our customers. It's going to be hard getting a load of new customers... like starting all over again.

Thank you for the heads up though! I really appreciate it!

Hey, are you looking at commercial lease on craigslist or business section? I just CL searched auto in the business section and got a few hits. I think there are other business for sale websites you can look at. Also try http://www.bizbuysell.com/

I'm not sure if you guys need just a vacant shop, but I would imagine whoever is selling the business/lease would want to sell their equipment too so it might be hard to find a place w/o having to buy the inventory. But hey, if you do get a place w/ extra tools, feel free to PM me about discounted prices on toolbox and wrenches or have a i-club garage tool sale! :-) jk!..kinda..

well good luck!
