I plan on going, but thought I would try to cover all the bases and ask a few people on here. I am second year ME student.

off topic: There is an informal car club called the Central Coast Car Club. It is mostly Cal Poly students, but there are handful of others from the SLO area. There are a couple of subarus including mine, but we are always looking for more. There is a smallish meet some Tuesday nights at the Starbucks near Madonna and 2+ hour group drives around once a month that end with lunch or dinner (usually we get about 8-12 cars on the drives).

Group activities/information can be found on the google group. It is a work in progress as we just switched from a facebook forum to google groups this week and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet... If you are interested in joining mention my name in the optional comment box when you join and make sure you put your name instead of an email handle or else the moderator might disregard it as spam.

Unfortunately I don't think myself or anyone else could manage get people to post on there.... San Luis is just too small to have multiple car forums dedicated to the same idea, there are already like 2-3. No one posts on any of the region dedicated forums as it is....
