dude, these things make hookers look cheap haha.
it seems like such a simple fricken "technology" that it should in no way be this much money. I don't think you even spend this much for a super nice swing arm wallmount for an LCD TV.

have you checked out monoprice.com? They've got a few for cheap but decent stuff (I have one of the wall mount 3 way lcd mount for my 21" monitor and another one for my tv). Here's a single monitor desk mount arm for $23.86

They aren't really THAT expensive. I'm sure you could find a better deal if you looked around on a different brand... Though I think you get what you pay for with that kind of thing, just like scope mounts for rifles... You can seriously spend an easy $300 on just a small little mount to connect a scope to your rifle! The reason they are better is because they hold zero much better, higher quality metals, etc. If you buy cheap scope mounts you are stuck with always adjusting the scope's zero because it will wear itself loose after a few shots and that's not fun at all.
The ones we have at work are super nice, very smooth and very adjustable, and you can tell they are well made overall. I don't know what the cheap ones are like, but probably not nearly as good.

I don't need a high quality one. As long as it can hold an LCD up in one spot then I am happy.

Now to search around for a double one that can hold my macbook pro to the side of the LCD. that would be the best solution for me, but overall this link will be better than nothing!
edit*** WEAK i just looked at the back of my LCD and it doesn't have mounting holes!!!!!!! time to shop for that 24" haha.

gonna have a super small desk with my macbook in my new place so im trying to be as space efficient as possible. the room i am moving into is not tiny, but it's small enough that i am "space conscious" since it is my home office too. trying to get the most out of the least haha. so having my macbook and second monitor floating would give me extra room on an already small desk.
