Man vs Wild
I'm here watching Man vs Wild and I got to say, this dude knows his s@#t. I'm not really an outdoor type of guy, but I'm learning a lot of good tips from watching his show on the Discovery Channel. I just finished watching the episode of him building a raft out of bamboo to try and survive out in the ocean as if he was stranded at sea. It's cool how he built the raft and made a sail. He builds a fishing pole out of bamboo and uses a fish bone for the hook. He also uses coconut oil to protect himself from the salt water spraying onto his skin.

Yea I love watching that show on Fridays!! There was a episode where he is in some hot *** place and pees on his shirt and wraps it around his head to keep himself cool.

Fridays 9pm ET/PT. But you can catch the reruns at different times. I'm watching it now. I think they're going to show a few episodes. He almost captured a wild horse to help him get through some hills. He failed but the technique he was using to get to the horse was pretty cool. He made a rope out of some branches. Then he get's hungry and sneaks up on a rabbit and nails him in the head with a stick. Kinda messed up to watch but good to know if you ever get stranded.

What about the camera man?
I don't think his camera crew get much credit. They're always one step ahead of him and they never complain about anything....lol. It should be titled: Man Vs. Wild...with the help of his camera and production crew.

^ like the episode of the rain forest. He was sick and just to be sure, he boiled water, in a huge tin cup that he supposedly doesn't have lol
I'm sure he receives quite a bit of help along the way, that somebody else wouldn't have if they were stranded alone by themselves.
But still, a pretty big feat to survive the wild like that

I think his show is more for us to know what to do if someone ever goes camping or hiking and gets lost. In that type of situation you would essentially have a knife or a tin cup from an empty can of beens. So he teaches us how to survive with what you have. He's really good at keeping his knife sharp LOL. I've seen him use 2 techniques.
