Yeah, the biggest deal with a lowered car is the snow build up underneath. It's not that big of a problem if the roads have been plowed recently, but if they're unplowed, you can get stuck very quickly. Momentum is your friend in that case....as is a shovel

If you're worried about the underside at all, I have a suggestion:

Primitive skidplate

Yeah, having a good skidplate would definitely help.

Northstar/Sierra Double whammy pass.

I was up 2 weekends ago, I'll be at sierra 28-30

Im slightly lowered, pirreli M+S tires, taking off the front lip so I dont plow the road

I wouldnt risk going with the stockers in the snow, thats like running azenis in the rain I would imagine

I didn't get a season pass this year so I could ride wherever the hell I felt like. Had a Sugarbowl pass last year which was awesome because of the long/early winter. Almost got a Alpine pass this year but it was like $899 unrestricted which is a joke unless you're riding 25+ days. Last year I got 24 (with a super long season). I'll probably be riding Alpine, Sugarbowl, Squaw this year depending on the snow conditions.

The problem with most of those passes is that Saturday's are out. That's no good for me because 40% of the riding I do is on Saturday's

I just finished packing. Dinner. Shower and I'm out of here.

I'll be at bear valley. At this point it looks like we'll be riding tuesday and wed. possibly thursday but I'm thinking I'm fat and not in riding shape yet so we'll probably head home wed. Plus I still have christmas shopping to do.

those of you that made my cabin trip last year....if you're not working...give me a ring...or just show up...you know where i'm at.....any doubts just look for the parking lot that will be torn to shreds..LOL!!!!

as for the rest of the season.....bear valley is my home and I have a season pass so I'll ride 95% of my days there. Might make a trip to Co. for a few days. Probably hit kirkwood a time or two and a few of the tahoe resorts a time or two.

Mammoth and Canada are out of my finincial plans this year...BAH!!!!

cliff....jeff...jeff.....drop me a line. We must get a couple trips in..

Costco has awesome prices on lift tickets to Kirkwood and Homewood. Two of my favorite "Woods".

My double whammy pass was a steal, 269 bucks, good at sierra without ANY restricted days, good at northstar for all except the normal holiday blackouts (christmas, newyears, MLK, presidents)

That's a pretty good deal, I'm just not a Northstar fan. My folks have a place in Truckee, so I wouldn't really get to Sierra that much to make it worthwhile It's all good, Alpine and Sugarbowl tickets are both $39, and when it's been dumping I'll fork over the dough for Squaw I'm just stoked to be able to ride a bunch of different mountains this year. Yeah for SNOW!!!

its not like the road to tahoe is some back country dirt road. Its kept clear most of the time....you just gotta take it easy because of ice and whatnot.
