Century 25 wasn't sold out when I went. I bought tickets 2 days ago, but you could still buy them.

I saw it today at 12:00.. it was awesome.

If you don't mind a trek up to Emeryville you might want to check out the new AMC theaters. For their grand opening (which is today) they are showing LOTR on all of their screens.

They are all sold out around here in Oakland/Emeryville/Berkeley area. good luck

BTW:

Century 25 is showing it every 20mins. On 6 screens. So, that is by far your best chance. It is the largest movie house on the west coast.

I didn't like it. They made too many characters into cowards.
The trees were my biggest disappointment. As if there wasent enough going on, they started putting things in the wrong order. Lots of things. I was very disappointed.

Yeah Ken, thats what I heard. I have read those books so many times. Its one of my favorite stories. I refuse to even go see the Two towers because of all the things people are saying they changed. I'll end up pissed instead of enjoying it. Changing Faramir’s charactor from a stong noble man to a weak willed coward I find particularly disturbing. I HATE Peter Jackson I hope he is haunted by JRR's ghost.
