looks like subaru isn't the only company to deny transmission warranty!

GT-R owners manual says: "VEHICLE DYNAMIC CONTROL (VDC)
OFF MODE
Make sure VDC is on before driving the vehicle.
The VDC OFF mode should only be used to help
free a vehicle stuck in mud or snow by
temporarily stopping VDC operation and keeping
torque on wheels."
Then in the waranty section it says under WHAT IS NOT COVERED: "Operating the vehicle with the Vehicle Dynamic Control
(VDC) off, except when rocking vehicle when stuck in
mud or snow (see GT-R Owner's Manual)"
So they tell you not to shut it off and when people do and their trans breaks whos fault is it really?

Hold on Hold on. Heres the keys to your $100k car thats made to go fast, but dont drive fast because it voids your warranty. BTW heres this little button you can push but dont push it unless you find your $100k car stuck somewhere you would never take your $100k to. WARNING!!!!!! if you push this button you will void your warranty........LAME!!!!!! Dude should have told them he was rocking it back and fourth in the mud.

It's a persons responsibility to read a contract... **** those losers, **** them to hell. I hope they have a fun time humping their precious GTRs cause that's all they are going to do with those cars.

In Nissan's defense they didn't market the Launch Control feature and they omitted the Launch Control procedures from the owners manual. The only reason everyone still knows of it and how to use it is through the automotive media and their initial tests. They let the media market the car for them.
It was bs to know that the automotive media was going to promote the car and the Launch Control function but remove it's existence from the operations and owner's manuals though. But you have got to read everything you sign why you're already spending $25K mark up on an already expensive $70K car.

Why would they even have VCD on the car if the intent wasn't to use it?
He can totally take this to court and win.
Reminds me a lot of the late 90's RX7... They would advertise it as the ultimate streetable race car or something to that effect... Then people started blowing engines left and right and mazda wouldn't cover it because they said the car was driven too hard... Bunch of people took it to court to fight it because they advertised it as the ultimate streetable race car, yet you weren't allowed to drive it hard because the engine would blow up.
Needless to say, the FD owners won and mazda had to suck it up.
If I'm gonna buy a GTR, the car that is claimed to be faster then a Porsche turbo on the worlds longest race track, I'm going to drive it hard because it is made to be driven hard and fast, not to be pampered like some Ferrari.
So basically, Nissan advertised the car to be a beast, basically a road going race car that can go 0-60 in negative 3 seconds and break the time/space continuum, yet you're not allowed to drive it with VCD off? Why even have that there if they don't want you to turn it off?
F'ing lame, I'd have Nissan in court faster then a Japanese woman can say "Bukkake".

Oh, I didn't read that part... Having a Cobb AP is much different then just leaving your VCD off... I can see why his claim was denied. What a dumb ***, why wouldn't he take the AP off before it was towed to the stealership? Like they are going to overlook the fact that it has an AP? Uuuuuhhh...

I should have read your post before I posted in here. You're supposed to read the manual before you drive the car, yet I know a lot of people don't and just rely on message board info... But looks like he's screwed for abusing the VCD according to the manual as well as the Cobb AP if he did indeed have on installed.
