looks like subaru isn't the only company to deny transmission warranty!

its the same old story. They use certain marketing to sell a car... in this case it was ALL track performance. Then they don't back up their claims and call it misuse if you use the car how they tell you you can use it.
I don't understand why no one has files class action suits on this case against SOA, Mitsu and now nissan.
I will say that when I had tranny problems SC subaru did all work under warranty no questions asked.

yeah it's the same ol thing but you really cannot expect a company to warranty a car that is being thrashed.
But at the same time they shouldn't advertise it like that.
It's like the wrx ad with pastrana tearing it up let's see soa back up the warranty that

But that's the thing... I SHOULD expect them to back up their warranty when that's how they market the car.
How do you see honda marketed? Safe. Gas friendly. Etc. Them not honoring a transmission warranty on a car they know has been raced seems fine.
But he GTR has been advertised 100% through track performance and it seems that even those results where not based on reality.
When someone markets a car as a track car or in our case a ralley car getting smashed through snow, dirt and tarmac we SHOULD expect them to honor said warranty.

GT-R owners manual says: "VEHICLE DYNAMIC CONTROL (VDC)
OFF MODE
Make sure VDC is on before driving the vehicle.
The VDC OFF mode should only be used to help
free a vehicle stuck in mud or snow by

torque on wheels."
Then in the waranty section it says under WHAT IS NOT COVERED: "Operating the vehicle with the Vehicle Dynamic Control
(VDC) off, except when rocking vehicle when stuck in
mud or snow (see GT-R Owner's Manual)"
So they tell you not to shut it off and when people do and their trans breaks whos fault is it really?
