They aren't forged, and if they are, they aren't forged well. The 17x8s are still about 17/18lbs if IRRC.

Everything I've read said it was an improvement, are torsens bad? (and yes I have been able to get a rear wheel off the ground ever so often.)

Um, they say "forged" right on the wheel, don't know if they are forged well or not.

Most forged wheels are that way to have the same strength as cast but lighter weight. These wheels are not lighter than similar size cast wheels, so I've always doubted if they are indeed forged, and if so, then they must be to be stronger (denser)... but we know that's the not the case cause they do, indeed break as easily as cast wheels.

Torsions, when one wheel is off the ground, will become an open diff. No bueno. Much better to have them in the front.

****ing subaru. no wonder they pulled out of the WRC and changed the chasis to mush.

BBS' are light, especially the 2004 STi (5x100, 17x7.5). They are forged, weigh a little over 15lbs each and are very strong. The only reason I would replace them is if I damaged them like Davon said. That or if I was involved in competing in racing and wanted something wider. Even the 17x8 on the 05-07 at ~18lbs is nice and stronger than my year.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not dissing Rotas, they're great and I've owned them in the past as a second wheel set but I wouldn't get rid of the stock BBS wheel.

This is kind of a loaded question, any wheel will bend/break in a high speed impact. As far as ruggedness goes, my money is on forged wheels.

haha... i just think it's lame when people are lazy and can't do something as simple as typing "fremont ford" into google. plus it takes less time than it would to ask on here and wait for someone to respond lol.

Look son, in the time you wrote up those two messeges you could have helped out an i-club member. This is exactly why i dont come on here no more. Because of people like you who rather make senceless and stupid comments, " Dood wtf?" Why make a negative comments? Learn to move on..no one was asking you especificly to give me the adress of the dealership..
