Totally agree with you Carfax is a joke.Not everything gets put on it.Also if the car has been lightly damaged say a 2 mph bumper hit it now makes the car look bad because some people can not just use there own discretion to drive the car and see that it does nothing to the vehicle in any way,also with title washing etc you may have a clean carfax but car was a in flood,hail etc damaged vehicle.

Ya other problem with that scam company is they show things that are not true a lot of the time. I've had cars where I was the second owner(bought from my parents) and it showed I was the sixth owner. Another that showed it was in an accident with airbags deployed when I owned it and that never happened either. Good luck getting any of that cleared up with them either, worst company to have to deal with ever.

dont know what you mean by "scam", Carfax doesnt create any of the information or add or delete certain info just to screw with you, what would they possibly gain from that? They simply compile data by the vin number from DMVs, insurance reporting agencies, etc. If there is an error on a carfax it not because they made it up, its just being reported to them incorrectly.
