local store to pick up laptop fan?

So I have an old Dell Latitude D505 and the CPU fan is dead. Finally got a chance to take it apart and make sure it's really dead and took it out of the laptop...

Found bunch on ebay for $10 and just wondering if there are local stores that would carry things like this... Thanks!

ebay. it isnt local but its a good place for random small parts.

I've been to weird stuff a lot, if they dont have it...you're going to be hard pressed to find it locally.

cool, thanks guys...

i know it's an old laptop, but other then the fan, it's perfectly good...

plus, it would be a cool laptop for customers to use while they are waiting for their cars to be detailed.

laptop stuff -- especially dells are going to be very hard to come by locally, ebay is probably your best bet.

Weirdstuff again, just take the fan out and go down there. Trust me you will find the right one in the fans box in the overstock/surplus section.

Don't call, they are not going to know if they have a fan for a specific dell. You just need to pull the fan and go look yourself. The overstock/bulk area is 12 boxes of fans of various sizes and types, BIG boxes at that. Also you will find boxes of dead old laptops, you might be able to find a older dell that uses the same fan and scavenge that.

I got one for my alienware out of a HP laptop.

^^ hmmm... interesting... I might give it a try... since the part is relatively cheap, don't really want to drive around too much to hunt one down... But since they are only 5.5 miles away, i'll give it a try... thanks!
