Let's talk seats....

I need a new seat. I'm 6'4", 215 lbs and these stock seats are to narrow for me. They pinch. In adition, I've already found myself using the knee to door technique on our North Bay backroads drives and I'm looking forward to a lot of track days. So..... I need a new seat. I've done some research and most of the companies make larger models. Looked at Sparco, Bride, Momo, Corbeau, Recaro, etc.

Now I'm leaning towards Sparco (EVO2 is a great fit) especially since they seem to be the industry standard. But what about one of the less expensive manufacturers. Like Corbeau for instance. They're half the price of Sparco seats. I know you get what you pay for but has anyone here driven in a Corbeau seat? Or one of the other manufacturers? I'm looking for a functional seat, not just bling. Anyone have any experience or feedback to add.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Im been interested too Huck. Im about 215 at 6ft

to all the skinny guys without love handles.

those narrow seats kill the lower back after about 1+hrs of driving. Is it possible to buy just one driver seat?

do i smell a groupbuy???

i'm another skinny guy (6'2", 155lbs, 30 inch waist) that has to use the knee to door, and even knee to center console technique to keep from moving arround while auto-xing and even driving in a spirited fashion. i've been looking at the Cobra Suzuka, but i haven't had the chance to sit in one.

seats

Hey everyone,

I got a pair of sparco torinos in rex. I'm about 175 and 5'9" and the seats are great. some of my larger friends look like they might like the stocks more.. If you guys go to uckk i show up there sometimes just look for me and you can sit in them

I have Sparco Rev and it holds me very well during rallyx. It's a little hard to get out due to side, but I could live with that. BTW, I think you might want to think about if the seat will fit or not. My seat fits fine for my height, but the shoulder section would be hitting the b-pillar if I push it back. Rev is not the biggest seat available from Sparco and it hits the b-pillar. You might want to keep that in your mind when you purchase one. btw, I highly suggest you sit in one before you purchase one. Good luck!

oh, btw, if you are going to the TSD rally october 11 and 12 you could check out my seat. But I don't think it'll fit you. Late!

I also purchased two Sparco Torino2 model. I'm 5'9" 190lbs and yes it's a tight fit for me, but I was after the shoulder support that the stock seats lack. I hear the Spaco EVO comes in a model 3 which is suppose to be an inch wider than the EVO2. Might want to check that out if thats what yo are after. There is this guy with a rally car that goes to the UCKK most of the time. He has the EVO2 on the drivers side and EVO3 on the passenger.
Be ready for adapter waiting pain. It took a while for them to arrive. See Mike at MPJ Performance. He can get you the Sparco stuff you are looking for.
